I have to admit we are doing a bang-up job at enjoying this summer. we spent our weekend in falmouth on cape cod at a friend’s fam’s summer cottage (thank you missy and joe!!). it was a blast. family dinner outside, bike rides, beach, lobster (ice cream and rolls!), and lots of sunshine. perfection!

clock wise from the right: dinner of tempeh stuffed peppers, gazpacho, and salt potatoes / surf drive beach between falmouth and woods hole. i actually went in the water! a rare event in cold new england waters for me / my view from the back of our bike pack as we cruised the shining sea bike path with tunes blasting and enjoying a shared milkshake / the path to falmouth beach

martha’s vineyard

A few quick snaps from our trip to martha’s vineyard last week. it was absolutely dreamy there and utterly relaxing. i can’t wait to go back! lots of photos to share soon, plus many of those will be medium format. i tried to stick to shooting with my yashica during our visit to the island.

wtsb : summer

the lastest words to shoot by is up! our word was summer. i couldn’t resist a few shots of one of our favorite summer indulgences…fried fish! the best of the best of these meals usually come from tiny, weather little roadside shacks. the bite in menemsha was exactly that and the massive line out front was our signal to stop. we scarfed down fried clams, zucchini, and jalapenos beside menemsha harbor, which to our amusement that day, is a bustling fishing hub on the island.
