///////\\\\\\\

the latest words to shoot by when up yesterday! the word was tiny, and i had the perfect plan in place to shoot it. we happened to be traveling up to NH this weekend past to take our tiny car up to the top of Mt Washington with 250+ other tiny cars! Minis On Top is this anual gathering & it was our second year. The weather was much better that last and I got some great snaps. I’ll share those later today.

later in the afternoon we found ourselves on rt 302. it’s a beautiful drive.

twisty, moutainy, and so relaxing. we pulled off at one of the many little hiking spots

along the route. arethusa falls. it was a steep, 800-and-something foot hike up to the

falls, but so very worth it. we had a splendid little strawberry and sangwich

waterfall-side picnic!

once MOT was buttoned up, we had most of sunday to explore the white mountains.

we started our adventure with strawberry picking. one of the many gifts of

summer is berries so fresh the juice runs down your chin. eric and i had

magenta-stained lips and finger tips for the rest of the afternoon.

(that’s a badge of honor as far as i’m concerned)

our little red cooper did it! i did not fair so well, altitude sickness

got the better of me and eric switched to pilot on the way down.

nonetheless, what an experience!

the mt. washington climb!  we lined up at the foot of the mountain, all 200-and-sum of us.

it was the most exciting, and hair-raising drive. as we got about half way up to the summit

the fog set in, or was it a cloud?

following an afternoon of the best motoring, the worst enchiladas, and consistently gorgeous

scenery…we met up with the other 239 minis at the foot of the Mt. Washington Auto Road

to kick back before ascending the mountain. shots from the climb are up next…
