brimfield: the mold man

18 May

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

this was one of our first stops. this vendor sold nothing but metal chocolate and ice cream molds.

yes, ice cream molds! Why don’t we still do this?!  I understand it was popular in the US

during the early part of the 20th century. that’s what i love about brimfield, you get

a free history lesson with just about every stop. the vendor went into great detail,

without much prompting from us.  I think if i could have found an ice cream

mold version of the rabbit riding the rocket,

i would have come home with it.
